2015 M4 1 owner, 32K miles, all servicing done at dealership when purchased.

2020 M340i. 2 owners, 23K miles. From what I know, all servicing done at BMW dealerships….

What would one prefer? Both cars are same color, and spec’d out to the liking either way. Both in excellent condition.

I love the B58, truly do. It’s amazing…… but that M itch is crazy.

Definitely scratch the M itch regardless but I’d try to go for a 2016 or newer M4.

I’ve driven both and can tell you, the M4 blew my mind in every way. From the sound, acceleration, handling, it’s hard for me pass on a clean M4. The M340i is nice and quick but didn’t feel exciting at all. Really didn’t have that WOW factor, when I was in the M4, it was turning heads and everyone wanted to race. Now, the M4 did feel a bit jerky in lower speeds which can be annoying if you’re using it to commute on a daily basis. Overall, if you’re looking for something to blow your mind every time you drive and don’t care too much about practicality, gas, and reliability, then M4. If you want something quick and reliable to commute, then the M340i.

I had the choice between the 2 - 2017 M3 with 20k miles or 2022 M340i with 10k miles. As you can see in my flair which way I went. No regrets. Then again I’ve always dreamed of owning an M car so the choice was easier based on that.
