I am planning on ordering a new M240 next month to replace my 2016 M235. I started checking out the the M440 and noticed it had ventilated seats as an option, which sounds great. I am just having a hard time justifying the ~17k increase in price for some vented seats.
What other details or features pushed you into a 4 series coupes?
I have ventilated seats in my 2021 5 series. They’re not great. I didn’t even bother with them for my upcoming car.
I went M4 for the very, although the M2 is more fun
Room for car seats and larger boot capacity. 4 doors. Missed out on that thundernight purple though.
I dont get people that buy a GC 4-Series. What do I miss out on them?
I really loathe that ventilated seats are only available on Black interior 👎🏾
But I chose my M440xi over the 2 series simply because I think it looks better.
Get an 8 series lol
5 doors is the answer.
Also, consider the 430i. Stacked it with performance and tech options, and it’s quite a bit less than the 440i.
All the performance options don’t get you an extra 2 cylinders buddy
Needed a family car, wanted a EV.
I ski and golf and they both fit very comfortably in the 4, whereas it’s a struggle in the 2. It’s also nice to be able to fit people in the backseat when needed. 4 is just so much more practical as a daily driver
Test drove a 235i and 430d ended up with the 430d. More practical as the wife has an sl500 which meant 1 of us had to be the grown up 🤣.
Does the m2 brakes sound like a school bus or is it just the m4? I love my m4 but the brakes are really embarrasing. I never had a performance car sound so bad.
It’s the compound on the brake pads that BMW uses. You can get other manufacturers product that aren’t as noisy. For example, hawk, akebono, eBC, project mu, pagid…
