The downside is that you need to match the phage to the specific bacteria you’re trying to fight, but this also means they’re less devastating to your gut biome.
When every bacteria is resistant to most antibiotics, we’ll still have a way to cure the most common ones. It’ll be more expensive though, and you can bet we’ll end up with a whole bunch of people dying of cuts and scraps again, but it won’t be the end of modern medicine.
