In an amazingly sassily titled update, Valve has fixed the color saturation and fan control problems introduced by The OLED Update yesterday.

I kept telling people not to panic, that it was just a borked update, and that the next update would fix it.
I panicked and factory reset my device. Didnt fix it so I panicked more and opened up my device, cracked the screen. I panicked more so I went and joined the line to buy a Steam Deck OLED. Now Im just panicking if I’ll be able to pay off my credit card in time.
Maybe take a breath and consider financial security over buying a non necessity? But you do you i guess
It’s not so much panic as it is frustration. OS 3.5 has been in preview for 2 months, and has been accessible publicly since at least May. There are constant, ongoing bugs that have been reported on for months that do not get mentioned nor addressed, and it’s made running it an exercise in frustration.
I finally went back to stable. Yes, I know, I know, preview is going to have bugs, but when you’re dealing with the same bugs for months on end, and instead of fixes you get even MORE buggy updates? That’s where I say I’ve had enough. I was willing to tinker around and deal with the issues for the new features, but I’m tired of dealing with them. I just want my product to work.
I’ll be back when 3.5 is more stable.
DON’T PANIC!
