My favorite limewire nostalgic memory is downloading a song, opening it up in WinAmp and hearing Bill Clinton say

My fellow americans I would once again like to say that I did not have sexual relations with that woman. I did however go to www.ifreeclub.com, where they offer hundreds of free products. Apple iphones and ipods, dell and apple computers and notebooks, samsung and sony plasma tvs, sony playstation 3s and nintendo wiis, canon and icon digital cameras–unintelligible– gucci handbags and watches, bestbuy expedia giftcards, and much more. Visit them today at www.ifreeclub.com thats w-w-w-dot-i-f-r-e-e-c-l-u-b-dot-c-o-m., and do like i did, just get it free!

I remember in the early 2000s helping a few family members with their slow computers. I’m a self taught computer geek because I couldn’t afford to pay someone to do this stuff for me. I’m not the best but I do know how to fix a system.

Every Christmas I went to visit my inlaws family and every year I would end up fixing two or three systems for people … all of them were always compromised by the 12 year son with a limewire addiction.

It was always funny to open up taskmanager in Windows and after waiting for five minutes for the panel to appear because the system was semi frozen … you’d end up with 200 tasks running, the CPU at 100% and the unit far whirling like crazy and warming your feet under the desk.

No, “don’t execute a file that shouldn’t be an executable” is not a “Windows thing”.

I used to download those exes to my G4 and open them with Resedit to try to figure out how they worked and extract some strings.

There weren’t enough Mac users to make it worth making executables like that.

Oh, I’ve wirtten the odd prank virus for Mac in my time. Never spread them through the internet of course, but Mac users felt so secure they’d execute about anything and be terrified when the CD drive started acting up

Remember the “virus” that put Oscar the Grouch in the trash can? I loved that one.

Only time I actually got a virus on my Mac was from a MacAddict CD.

I once did one where the screen would “crack” whenever you clicked. Like one of those desktop destroyer Minigames that were popular back then. It basically displayed an empty window in the foreground that would then load the cheap-ass crack-lines I had done in MS Paint. It was really obvious, since the program would even appear in the app shelf thingy of MacOS, yet ppl just freaked out every gawd damn time.
