Enacted in the wake of the Civil War, Section 3 of the 14th Amendment disqualifies from public office any individual who has taken an oath to uphold the U.S. Constitution but then engages in insurrection or rebellion against the United States, or gives aid or comfort to its enemies. No prior criminal conviction is required.

Trump was targeted by plaintiffs in cases for his role in “inciting and facilitating” the insurrection at the U.S. Capitol on Jan. 6, 2021, just after the November 2020 general election in which President Joe Biden defeated Trump.

It’s easy to blame the politicians, but what about the voters who keep putting them in office? The solution must come from voters, which is what makes Trump’s crimes against free and fair elections so terrible. America seems to be finally starting to wake up, (much more slowly than I would like) but it won’t do any good if the right to vote is taken away.

And the Democrats cheat their own primaries, argue in court they have no legal obligation to actually represent the vote, or anide by even their own rules, and bend over backwards to knock 3rd parties off the ballot. Your right to vote / choice is already being actively removed by the same party that screams about the other party.

Yes until Americans shake out of this duopoly crap and tell both D and R corporation to tale a hike the beatings shall continue.
