I’m rather poor, do you think the old steam deck will go on sale? I was saving up to get it, but life always got in the way. Now that’s it’s price is refuced, do you think that it would get the 10-20% winter sale discount? Those 39-90 euros still mean a lot… especially that I have to pay shipping. Thank you for any anwsers.

It took me a year to save up for the Deck. So when the new ones came out, I was like, well, maybe next time.

I just needed to hire a contractor for $300 to come and do electrical work. Half my house plugs don’t work and I think it may be rats.

I’ll be stitching my underwear back together to get another year.

I bought mine second hand for 450 euro (but my local currency) with 1 tb ssd. This was around 2 months before oled. I worked out great for me but its a risk. It might be a way to find something for a good deal when oled has been out for a few weeks and second hand lcd decks has dropped in price.

You could check for people selling theirs third party for the new oled one. I personally will be but I think advertising is frowned upon here. Just check around.

Have you checked the official refurbished ones? They are 20% off always and they lowered the prices too, so they are cheap. And tested to be working fine.

It 64GB and 512GB models have a permanent price reduction until they run out of stock. They’re unlikely to get cheaper than that, but I guess you could wait another month and see.
