[November 14, 2023] Alan Wake 2 v1.0.11 Update Released Today!

Alan Wake 2 (v1.0.11) 16GB RAM Requirement Removed/Fixed! Works on both SteamOS and Windows 10/11!

I’ve modified the .exe file of the latest version (1.0.11) of Alan Wake 2 to remove the 16GB RAM requirements error when starting the game.

You can now start the game even with 4GB VRAM without the need to change it to 256MB VRAM.

NOTE: You must update the game first to the latest version (1.0.11) before applying the modified .exe!

Installation Instruction: Extract the archive and just copy the modified .exe and paste it in the game’s directory, replacing the original file.

No thanks OP. I’m not playing a game on low settings and have it run at less than 30 FPS.

There are so many people here that will try and run some of these games come hell or high water and say a game works or “runs a locked 30 fps, but with some dips”. Sub-30 fps is not acceptable performance. If I have to run a game at 24 fps it’s not worth playing on the Deck.

Low settings in this game really look like Ultra in most others. Agreed on the sub 30 fps though, that’s just not enough. This is not a steam deck game.
