Yeah I do, I still love it. The track pads are much better than the steam deck ones. The battery life is unbelievable. I only miss the 2 steam deck buttons really.

The trackpads ond the Steam controller are technically significantly less precise than the Steam Deck’s. The concave and circular shape of the pads make them FEEL a lot better than they actually are.

The gyroscope on the controller is also a bit dated, making very precise movements a bit harder.

Imagine how amazing a new SC would be with all of valve’s latest tech.

Do you use disposable batteries or rechargeable ones? I used the latter and battery didn’t last long…

NiMH batteries self-discharge themselves, that’s why they aren’t good for low-power devices

I’ve bought an 8 pack of rechargeable Eneloop NiMH for 20 bucks now almost 10 years ago and they have not degraded significantly.

I’m getting usually around 80 hours of use out of a single charge.

I use eneloop pro batteries. They take up to 6 months on a single charge. No kidding

The IKEA Ladda 2450 mAh batteries are actually the same as Eneloops for a fraction of the price. IKEA’s charger is also very good and uses the hybrid approach for quick charging and taking them to max capacity. I use them in all my game controllers and they work great.

I actually don’t support game controllers with internal lithium batteries. They will wear out overtime and are harder to replace.
