This is my 2016 BMW 228i. Six speed manual. Despite being the base model with the four cylinder, 240 hp engine I like it a lot and think it’s pretty quick. When I first bought it I thought I’d eventually upgrade to an M2, but after three years I still love it and don’t feel the need for more power.

So just a friendly reminder that the cheapest model isn’t automatically bad, and actually can be awesome (or maybe I’m just a slow driver haha)

I know. In the USA though the 228i or 230i’s are frowned upon by some (50/50 some enthusiasts some non enthusiasts). I don’t show up at car meets though because of this…my friend has a 23’ M2 and always asks me to come. Why I say??? All The ppl own new M3’M4’s. Thus…I just go to car events with my dad in his 1M or 23’ X3 Mcomp. (My brother has an E30 M3 too—sometimes I go with him!) but after buying my 228i vert new in 2016…it was expensive as shit $51k is a lot of coin for me. I’ll keep the car for atleast 10 years and then probably have to buy used if I want a MSport 6cyl BMW. I only buy verts lol.
