Are these 2 basically compacted SSDs at a premium price? And not just flashdrives?
…And which of the 2 is the best all around? Obviously, the Kingston is twice as fast with (3.2 GEN 2) compared to SanDisk (3.2 GEN 1), but besides speed which one is the best overall in terms of quality build, reliability, data decay, and features? DRAM included or not, etc?

I am not really sure about flashdrives, however, SanDisk SSDs are just horribly unreliable. Also, I would only use flashdrives for the temp data, not as the main media for any data.
just saw this on /.: https://hardware.slashdot.org/story/23/11/13/2143250/sandisk-extreme-pro-failures-result-from-design-and-manufacturing-flaws-says-data-recovery-firm
TLDR, may want to rethink the Sandisk :)
