I’m probably influenced by youtubers but its seems like everyone is using a screen protector.

Why would you not? I’ve been putting screen protectors on everything for at least the past 15 years. From Nintendo, phones, tablets. It’s just not a big enough reason to not invest a few extra dollars to protect the original screen.
