I used to work for a volkswagen dealership and I will say this now the Id.7 WILL NOT sell. Its gonna be like the arteon and the CC before that and the phaeton before that. Nobody wants an expensive luxury sedan from a mid-tier german car company. We had 3 arteons on our lot for about 190 days because nobody will buy a 50k luxury sedan with medium amounts of comfort even on the highest trim. The Id.7 will not sell not only because it is an un-noticeable mid-tier luxury sedan from a mid-tier company but also because it will be, just like the id.4, an underwhelming piece of cheap feeling plastic. Sorry for the rant but when I was a kid I used to love Volkswagen and now it seems like they stopped caring. The arteon is just a ugly and uncomfortable version of the golf r. The id.4 is a uncomfortable over-priced suv that is hard to sell even in a place where electric cars are booming. The id.7 will just be another car that will be a waste of money for dealerships and consumers alike.
Tbh i was seriously eyeing the Arteon R except we already had 2 fresh cars in our family. But now for 60K EUR that is a bit too much.
