Not to set a record or to race, what’s your dream setup? And what soundtrack do you drive to?

I’d probably end up in a camper listening to Jerry Reed, but wishing I was in a Holden VL Walkinshaw. Each to their own. Tell me.

As a european city boy, I’d be dreaming doing the coast to coast ride in a manual 2022 Mustang 5.0 Coupe. No idea if it would be a good or comfortable choice for a long ride, since I never drove one. But the Mustang looks and sounds amazing to me, so I wanna drive one once in my life desperately.

Completed that dream last February in an 02 F350. San Diego to Charlotte, only cost $775 to get all the way across

S63 Coupe, anything else is a wrong answer my guys. Mix of CCR, Motley Crew and whatever country radio station has reception.

1979 Pontiac Firebird 💜💜 I’ve actually got one, with a Ram Air 3 to boot. Still working on restoring it, but I love everything about those old cars and the way that engine seems to sing an old, forgotten melody that you can feel due to the power and sound they give. Same with my old 77 Ford F150, they feel different when you’re driving them

Can I buy a plane ticket? I don’t want to ever spend more than 2 or 3 hours in a car again.

I did it last year, Boston to Chicago to LA via Rt 66, in my 2017 GTI SE with the Fender audio package and a few performance mods. It was perfect

Honestly, if we’re talking “cross the country in any vehicle”, gimme one of those fancy bus style RV’s, and I’ll flat tow a small off reader like a Suzuki samurai. Make an adventure out of it, explore trails and off road spots, and still get a shower and a real bed to sleep in

I’ve done a nearly coast to coast road trip, in Canada. We were in a Kia Rio. I remember wishing I had more interior space and more power to pass on Northern Ontario’s two lane highways. If I had to do it again, F-150 Raptor all day long. If it had to be something more unique, Bentley Continental GT.

Actually, there have been a few attempts at running them here in Australia but the police and media were pretty brutal about it.

I imagine in NZ it takes 20 minutes in an Uber
