If you can prove to me with a valid argument then I’d change my mind but so far I see nothing but money being thrown around to buy some of the best players in the league

I’d also say a lot of other teams have spend similarly and bought failure instead, I can’t defend how City spend ethically but certain other teams including my own have done so as well with little to show for it!

I’m waiting for the day that a team with zero wages and zero transfer fees challenges for the cup.

Isn’t that the point? What teams are you aware of that care about winning and aren’t attempting to buy the best players?

Do you have an alternate path to success for a professional sports club?

We all know they spend their way to trophies, but that isn’t uncommon. The real problem is is that they have most likely done it illegally with a possible 100 breaches…

Yes, money buys success. ( obviously not 100 percent garenteed) Do you think people don’t know this? Will you repeat the same thing every year.

Every top team buys success. It’s not like city is the only team spending money they just use it more efficiently than other teams. Utd have spent the same amount of money in the last 10 years, yet obviously it’s not working. Chelsea are spending ridiculous amounts, Barcelona, and Madrid also do the same thing. You can’t hold it against city that they have great scouts and a great manager that maximize their spending.

Well other teams have been throwing around money and have shit to show for it, so if you’re saying money=wins then I don’t think that tracks. The thing with City is that they spend their money wisely and more often than not their signings turn out performing to their standards. They have great scouting and contract structure allowing them to almost rebuild teams while still in a competing position. Speaking as a United fan, it invigorates me to see their success and I hope the oil fields all go up in smoke, but it’s not just money it’s how they’ve used it.

Man City have spent their money more effectively than the other teams, that’s the main difference. United, Liverpool, and Chelsea have all spent crazy cash but it hasn’t worked as well for them. Everyone is trying to buy the league, but City have just been better at it than the others.

    arsenal buy
    spurs buy
    man city buy
    man utd buy

man city are just much better at getting in players and have a world class manager. no need to cry about their success
