Absolutely useless. I don’t like talking to technology. I can read faster than I can listen and I can type faster than I can talk.

Until there is a new was to input my thoughts an ideas into a computer, we’ll keep hitting similar limitations. Yes, this includes AI. One of the main reasons AI is more efficient right now, is that it gives me information without ads. Just like Google used to.

    Also, what’s the battery life?

Typing pure text is not faster than speaking. But the mix of typing and navigating by fingers is more convenient and reliable

I’d love to have it measured. There’s a rhythm and natural cadence to speech that I don’t have to think about when typing. At least certain subjects, I can let the words flow out uninterrupted and then go back and edit if necessary.

However, your point is interesting in the sense that when I’m speaking to another human, I’m also looking and listening for their feedback. So that’s really dual functionality, not singular.

Exactly, I absolutely hate talking to voice recognition systems (Google Assistant etc) in public, makes me feel like an idioti.

“Idioti” needs to be added to the lexicon of words to describe “technologists” that ignore fundamental issues. Hahaha
