Hey everyone, wondering if i should use powerline adapters to solve the inconsistent wifi with my pc. while i play games my wifi will suddenly spike with large ping and packet loss. i have read a lot on powerline and some people say they are magic and others say they are horrible. i understand it has a lot of variables that effect how it works so i would like advice if i should get them based on my situation. my router is close to my pc (approx 10-15 meters) with no appliances between the rooms. my house is almost brand new (built 3 years ago). I have also made sure the sockets are all on the same circuit. i cannot run a LAN cable directly as my family wouldn’t allow for it understandably so. Do you think powerline adapters are the way to go for me? Thank you in advance!

Unless you have coax outlets at the 2 locations or willing to install data cables in the walls, what are your other options? Try and see.

Powerline will be the limiting factor. You can attach any WiFi access point and or direct attached device (or Ethernet switch to both).
