That is paywalled and also does not address this video. Who in this video said they were voting for Republicans, or not voting?

Sorry for the paywall. The vast majority of voters are 65 and over. The lowest being 18. Check out the midterm numbers. Gen Z is simply not voting. Just complaining. Even my age group which is Gen X isn’t doing that great either.

Answer my question or just ignore me. Because right now, it seems like all you’re doing is being a cynical asshole bringing up irrelevant shit on a post that shows no relation to what you’re saying.

Your job is to prove that the people in this video vote Republican or don’t vote. That’s what I asked.

Also, should it be surprising that the youngest voters are 18, when 18 is the voting age?

Ah, in that case that statement makes sense. It is worrying that the youngest do vote the least.

The point is they don’t vote. Not that they vote republican because they typically don’t vote republican. The 65 over votes in higher numbers and more than often vote republican.

I don’t owe you anything. I don’t have a job to do. I don’t care what you ask for. You don’t matter to me.

I’m was simply making a correlation between people who are complaining on TikTok and people who are voting and nothing more.

The youth will not care about politics. No matter how much we push they just don’t take time to vote. The ones who do vote Republican because mommy and daddy make them vote and they vote for ever their parents tell them to.

The youth vote doubled percentage wise last American election, and it still lagged behind the rest of the age groups. Young voters are catching up but generally youth votes are still behind, and the youth ends up underrepresented.

If this website is to be believed, about 23% of the youth voted for the 2022 midterm elections. That’s a huge increase over the 14% youth turnout in 2018, but with an average above 52% that’s still less than half of what it should be.

It’s not just an American problem, there are plenty of other countries where the youth vote turnout is disproportionally low. I don’t think that’ll change without drastic measures, such as mandatory voting.

At least they have all the freedom they want /s

And trust me it’s not only the USA. I few months ago I had to live off cheap instant ramen and Vitamin pills for more than a month because I couldt pay my bills otherwise. I live in europe with a relatively decent salary. It’s ridiculous. Big companies do record profits while we suffer.
