Unfortunately, I won’t be able to get my paycheck right around the steam deck oled launch like I thought and it could be delayed as late as early December but I wanted to purchase the limited edition steam deck oled. Will it still be available? Are they just doing it until it sells out or is it like it’ll be out for 2 weeks or a month or what? I haven’t been able to find anything anywhere

Minutes, if not seconds. With the Steam Deck gaining in popularity and getting more press coverage (combined with the fact that we’re entering the holiday season), I really think the Steam store is going to get pounded with an insanely high volume of orders. Hopefully they’ve got good measures in place to prevent scalpers from buying them up instantly with bots, because that was a whole different shitstorm back when the PS5/Series X released.
My hope here is that Valve will see the demand for the Limited Edition model and come out with additional batches. In one of the video interviews (IGN I believe) they hinted that they wouldn’t rule out making more in the future if they saw the demand for it.
