I am about to purchase everything to build a computer with an I5-12400. I am going to be purchasing a B or H motherboard. When the power goes out to my house, I need the computer to turn back on automatically when the power is restored. Do all recent motherboard brands offer this feature in the bois? Is this a power supply dependant feature in conjunction with the motherboard? I havent built a computer since 8th gen. and I dont see this feature in my old computers bios.

almost all motherboards have this feature, I would be very surprised if you buy one and it doesn’t (just return it). Asus, Asrock, msi, gigabyte boards since Z170 (and I’m sure earlier) have this feature

It’s a software feature that must be present in the BIOS. I think just about all motherboards support it, but check the manual before you buy to be sure.

I am recommending MSI B660M-A Wifi DDR4, as it has the said feature but you need it to turn it from BIOS. My PC also does this after sudden power loss.
