With what explanation isn‘t Platini the undisputed French GOAT?

I am not saying that he is Top 5 all time, but if we are honest, how isn‘t the Guy a Lock for Top 15 All time?

You have to understand how underrated he is, most People would call him „Icon, but not a Big Time Superstar like R9, Ronaldo, Messi, etc.“

    Platini’s character, or lack thereof, showed in the “Heysel” final, when, after he scored what was going to be the match winner, he celebrated like tens of people didn’t just die before a game that, under normal circumstances, would have and should have, never been played.

    As far as why he’s underrated, he did take France to two world cup semis, losing both to Germany, won a European tournament at home, while Zidane took France to two world cup finals and won one, while also winning an Euro. Of course, recency bias plays a role too. Platini’s France was almost like that 1982 Brazil team , a beautiful dream but lacked the cynicism needed to go all the way.
