Spurs didn’t just lose to Chelsea, one starting CB on three game suspension and another out for weeks or (potentially) months. Madison is out till January and none of your replacements are anywhere near the level of those three.

If Son goes down the season is damn near a wash. Not to mention Ange proved himself tactically stubborn when he COULD HAVE pulled out a point from a lackluster Chelsea.

In a vacuum, yes it’s just one match. But contextually I can’t think of one match that could have gone WORSE for Spurs.

Spurs are also 11 games into a rebuild with a thin squad. This was bound to happen sooner or later. Riding the high of one of the best starts to a season is fine. Thinking we could win the league at this point of the season is unrealistic. Just enjoy the Ange ball. As frustrating as the meltdown against Chelsea was, the response was thrilling. Loved seeing Spurs attack the game while down 2 men. Listening to the supporters back the team was amazing. Watching the players stick to the plan rather then parking the bus like the last 3 years gave me even more excitement to see what the future holds! In Ange We Trust! COYS!

IMO it’s because they are far exceeding expectations early on without the depth to make it to the end of the season. This game showed an error in strategy that will be exploited if it continues and the coach made it sound like that’s how they will continue to play.

it’s just because it’s the general script for spurs. they overperform and then decline. i’ve been super impressed with them and i think we’re writing them off too soon for sure but especially with the injuries i don’t see them challenging for the title. i think they’ll be challenging for top 4

Good team and I believe if they could sustain the level of performance beyond Christmas they had a good chance but these injuries will kill them off. Squad depth is an issue

Because they never should have been written on? Their 8 game “title challenge” was clickbait from day 1.

Have you just pulled those results out of your arse? Leicester lost 5-2 at home and City lost 5-2 at home as well.

Seasons also not won in the 1st 11 even if it was they wouldn’t be winning. It’s a long slog. They haven’t the squad. Lucky to get champs league.

you’ve made up most of these scores lol. leicester only lost 3 games all season and wasnt competing against a pep man city. spurs were never in a title race this season anyway
