Hardest european qualifiers
Seeing as we’ve already qualified I think this would’ve been a good time to call up Ezri Konsa.
Who knows what the injury situation could be by next summer and it’d be a benefit to have a bit of experience, even if it’s just training with the squad.
Doubt he’ll play a weakened side for these with wanting to finish in the top seeds for pot 1 of the Euro 24 draw.
Can’t imagine being English and seeing Henderson as a legit regular call up. I know we called up Krychowiak from the same shithole, but we have 3 straight thinking midfielders at best. Having England’s talent pool and going for the captain of Al Ettifaq is just pathetic.
There’s zero incentive to get in form for Southgate world. I’m starting to think he doesn’t even watch games.
Wonder if we’ll get another pre-match interview with Henderson about how he’s actually the greatest guy ever, you just don’t understand him.
Grealish over Sterling is a madness
Grealish has been injured for most of the season- And even then, since returning, he’s been one of our best players.
No Reece James god bless
Philips and Henderson ffs man hahah
Apart from JWP, there aren’t really many other options. In my opinion, Gallagher isn’t up to it either.
In reality, in the Euros we will play with Rice, Bellingham and one other so won’t be too bad.
Gallagher’s been very good this season
Gallagher has absolutely been good enough this season imo. Chelsea has been in abit of a state but every time I’ve seen him he hasn’t been the problem.
I think Jones could do a bit of a Hendo role - seems more solid defensively and is pretty press resistant
God, I hope John Stones is fit when the Euros come around
I thought something looked off at the back
The problem is we need him as a CB and a DM. Cloning tech can’t come soon enough
Goalkeepers: Sam Johnstone (Crystal Palace), Jordan Pickford (Everton), Aaron Ramsdale (Arsenal)
Defenders: Levi Colwill (Chelsea), Lewis Dunk (Brighton & Hove Albion), Marc Guehi (Crystal Palace), Harry Maguire (Manchester United), Fikayo Tomori (AC Milan), Kieran Trippier (Newcastle United), Kyle Walker (Manchester City)
Midfielders: Trent Alexander-Arnold (Liverpool), Jude Bellingham (Real Madrid), Conor Gallagher (Chelsea), Jordan Henderson (Al-Ettifaq), Kalvin Phillips (Manchester City), Declan Rice (Arsenal)
Forwards: Jarrod Bowen (West Ham United) Phil Foden (Manchester City), Jack Grealish (Manchester City), Harry Kane (Bayern Munich), James Maddison (Tottenham Hotspur), Marcus Rashford (Manchester United), Bukayo Saka (Arsenal), Ollie Watkins (Aston Villa), Callum Wilson (Newcastle United)
2 world class midfielders and then nothing 😂
Pleased for Johnstone but lack of Pope is baffling when Ramsdale isn’t playing regularly.
Lack of Gordon when Rashford is playing like ass is baffling too
Throw Maguire into the mix too when there’s probably other defenders playing regularly/better than him. Nice to see Tomori in the squad after people saying he wasn’t getting picked because he wasn’t playing in the Prem. Not sure if Henderson still being picked has anything to do with it.
No, Maguire for once is okay to be selected.
Southgate, for better or worse, has never picked players on how frequently they are playing
Midfielders representing: Liverpool, Real Madrid, Chelsea, Arsenal, Manchester City & Al-Ettifaq
I’m sorry but that is absolutely hilarious
Feel like Southgate keeps including Henderson just to spite everyone who talks shit about him and says we need a new manager, because he’s definitely not doing it for footballing reasons.
Who does he replace?
Saka is Saka and Bowen is 4th highest scorer in the league this season
Hope fans keep booing Henderson
why does Pope never get called up anymore?
Southgate is so unimaginative omydaysssss
