Is there a list of prohibited actions available so that one could know upfront if something can be done with RDP or not?,
I usually connect to other PCs in the same building using Remote Desktop,(TeamViewer) which works great. For some reason, some actions cannot be performed through Remote Desktop. These are, for example:
Installation of certain software(pirated game)
That action don’t work with any other remote access tool, like VNC, Teamviewer, LogMeIn, etc.
My question is: What is the difference when I use a computer through RDP instead remote desktop with pikvm? If remote desktop with pikvm can I download pirated game
PiKVM allows you to control the machine even without OS. Remote desktop requires you to have the machine installed OS + setting up RDP properly first.
The pikvm is a piece of hardware that emulates a monitor, keyboard and mouse. However the software side of things will be something on the machine, likely antimalware preventing the execution of the pirated content
As for prohibited actions, the ability to perform certain actions via RDP or any other remote access solution may depend on the security and policy settings of the remote system. I would try Supremo and if it doesn’t fix it then it’s not because of the remote desktop. If you trust the program try temporarily disabling your anti-virus or anti-malware.
