      Hardly self made when worker exploitation was the norm at that time. He cane from a time when striking workers were literally bombed by the US military or just shot down in the street like disobedient dogs.

      Not self made.

      Hmm seems as though he was born “poor” by a standard set now, but his father moved up in his industry pretty well and he had political affiliations in his family. “Self-made” isn’t a real thing.

      The one recent exception I can think of is Notch, but that was more luck than anything else.
