Currently my wife and I have our offices in the same room and she wants me to move. So I’m moving my office from the main floor of our house to the basement. But there is no network connection there and our wifi is crappy.
Thanks
What I’m hoping I can do is use a axGear Network Splitter Ethernet Cable 1 to 2 Y Adapter RJ45 CAT5e CAT 6 LAN Switch to split the network connection in the upstairs office, and run a line down to a [DGS-105 D-Link 5-Port Metal Gigabit Switch] (https://www.bestbuy.ca/en-ca/product/d-link-d-link-5-port-metal-gigabit-switch-dgs-105-dgs-105/10228876). My wife needs only one hookup for her laptop, but I’ll have 3 computers plus a printer to hook up.
Does this sound viable? Trying to do the change with minimal expenditure of money.
NO that’s a bad way to do it. This will help clarify a bit for you. There’s a lot there though so kick back for a full understanding.
