So Anthony Taylor gets demoted for a Championship game last weekend after a big error in the PL the week before, makes another mistake in a Championship game, and now is given a huge game back in the PL this weekend.
I really don’t understand how this makes sense at all.
If he was eased back into the PL after at least a month, it would be understandable.
To be clear, though he has made so many mistakes, I’m not saying that he has to lose his job or referee the championship for the remainder of his career. But surely bringing him back so soon is a mistake?
Especially in a match where Chelsea is playing - he’s known for making terrible decisions against them for years, and now the PL throws him back into a game of such magnitude?
It doesn’t make sense for the PL and Anthony Taylor. I’m sure that he will feel the pressure come Sunday.
Two negative makes positive. I don’t know what they are thinking.
Because PGMOL/FA/etc are corrupt, biased and incompetent. They dont care. They are above the law. They cant be criticised. Say something wrong and you‘ll get silenced and fined. Big big Stasi vibes.
Because that’s the ref that always refs you matches on every FIFA game.
Man city can make it look like an idiot gave them loads of oopsie poopsie calls.
Like they need it against chelsea…
OP was hoping to get a reaction by placing special importance on a Chelsea game, lol. Ain’t that special just so you know
And Taylor wasn’t “demoted”, was just optics. I mean referees get a lot of shit but the mistake that got him “demoted” was a bit more of VAR’s mistake, but who am i to know.
The thing is, Taylor will be back refereeing in the Prem. And whispers it might be nice for us…
I don’t know what the hell is wrong with the PL. Normally any referee who does such a big mistake must lose his job IMMEDIATELY.
City obviously paying the refs
Might as well give you guys a walkover this weekend he’s going to fuck us on Sunday like he always does.
Easing Him into the PL You say- So you feel the Blades would not mind a few missed penalties by Mr. Anthony, at this stage of the season, that affect the £60milj loss of being relegated?
Should mbape be benched if he misses several chances in a game? Should Sergio Ramos be benched forever if he scores an own goal? People at the highest level of the game both refs and players make massive mistakes all the time. That doesn’t mean they are still not the best……
So he can award City a pen, and send off a Chelski player.
💰💰💰
When you’ve got a Middle East oil budget, you get the referee you want for your games…this is a made up joking opinion with zero facts to back it up.
So would it be ok if he managed Villa vs Fulham, or Palace vs Everton??
What makes Chelsea vs Man City so special, are their matches more special or more sacred than the rest of us rabble? Ffs
What do you mean “eased back”, like managing the last 10 minutes of a match one week, a half the next week, then maybe a full 90 minutes after that? Or are you just saying that the smaller teams don’t matter?
What makes Chelsea Vs Man City significant is that he is from Manchester
What makes Chelsea vs Man City so special, are their matches more special or more sacred than the rest of us rabble? Ffs
Sky TV think it’s more significant, that’s why that game is on tv and Villa v Fulham isn’t. If you’re wondering why, it’s likely because it will generate higher ratings. So it’s not just Sky that think it’s more significant, the audience do to.
I’ve seen more people saying he was absolutely fine in the game in the Championship. His game vs Wolves the mistake was more VAR than him as well so I don’t get why he’s criticised as the call he gave probably is fine for a split second decision in his poisition.
But at the end of the day who do you think replaces him? There’s no massive pool of brilliant referees and the ones coming up are often worse.
Has he made any trips to Qatar for “business” in the last week, like Oliver did before we played City?
