I just switched Internet providers (from a Cable Internet provider to a fiber provider). I was previously using a Netgear C7000 cable modem router combo. The issue is that I can’t use it now, because it doesn’t have a WAN port, and the media converter from the fiber company, obviously, converts the fiber to cat6. I’d really like to use my old router because I had all of the ports set up perfectly, and it has better range than the one that the fiber company provided.
Are there any solutions that I’m missing? Is there any way to make the old router think that one of the LAN ports is a WAN port instead? As soon as we switched, everything broke. I can’t even run speed tests because something is being blocked. PS4 won’t connect, phone won’t connect, cameras are struggling, etc. Any advice would be much appreciated.
