Hello all,

It is with regret that I am announcing the retiring of this Lemmy instance. It will be shut down at some time on Sunday 12th November 2023.

Engagement has been low since its inception, and has failed to grow. None of the subreddits I’ve reached out to have migrated here in any significant number, which was the sole purpose of the instance.

Immediately following shutdown, all data, including posts, user data, emails and backups, will be destroyed.

I appreciate that this will cause disruption for members who use their account on other instances, and can only apologise for that. I plan to send an email out to all members soon, explaining the shutdown and detailing any information I can find on how to export user data from the instance.

To those who have contributed and engaged, thank you. I’m sorry this couldn’t become the place I hoped it would be.
