beeper is a layer for matrix that runs on the synapse base.
I spent a few hours trying to self-host a beeper instance and gave up because of how dumb they do their ansible roll-out.
Spent a few hours getting my synapse docker image working and will add the bridges later. Beeper literally does nothing that standard matrix/synapse can do with far less closed-source clients.
Beeper has some more tight integrations with the bridges made by tulir, like showing bridge health.
