The reason why I want a midnight black variant of the console is simple: it looks sleek and unique from the standard models already being sold. The console only costs ¥55,000 (C$489.25) + ¥11,980 (C$106.25) for the disc drive totalling to around ¥66,980 (C$595.50) without GST / HST / PST & sales tax. After I’ve paid for international shipping via a forwarding agent: would the console be exempted from taxes one it arrives?

It looks sleek though, sad that no one else in the world is getting he midnight black variant of the digital only console as it’s only available in Japan. The normal white variant of the digital only console with the disc drive included costs around C$890-1000 (as taxes vary by province) so I would rather save half by importing the Japanese version (it’s both region & language locked). And yes, I have a Japanese PS account to use it.
