Yo como no estoy dispuesto a pagar premium a ese precio, le pasaré a proyectos de código abierto (o libre, no sé) que sean para ver youtube como si fuera premium. No cacho si se puede donar a yt-dlp, pero quizás lo reparta entre newpipe, peertube o alguna instancia confiable que la tenga.
Aparte que newpipe da un youtube más aislado de algoritmo, sin publicidad y buen control/visualización de las suscripciones.
edit: Incluso uBO está bueno pa donarle, si cumple buena función en mi vida.

También está la plataforma “piped” que filtra la connección a youtube y las apps que usan piped para android “libretube” y “newpipe”
“Paying rightfully” doesn’t mean encouraging rent-seeking behavior from google, nor does it follow subjecting yourself to mind control is ever morally demanded.
@_donnadie_ Pay for content *and* live with the ads - since content creators are still allowed to embed ads.
Only difference is you get fewer ads which you can skip. For now.
Once consumers are comfortable with paying to watch ads YouTube will reintroduce ads in paid tiers, as Netflix has done.

I’m considering using the money I spent on premium on software like newpipe, peertube or similar stuff.
Except the anti ad-blocker didn’t work.
