But what the hell is a “chemical” everything is a chemical
I used to work at whole foods and we had to do training on the meaning of the organic label. In a survey 94% of responders listed the reason they prefer organic was no pesticides. However organic produce is still sprayed with pesticides
Never was.
Organic means “grown without chemicals”.
It’s a statement against pollution and nothing else

Not in Europe. Organic is by definition grown without use of artificial and harmful products like pesticides and herbicides.
Nice goal post move attempt. They do use pesticides in Europe too though. You’re just wrong. Now you’re wrong twice, nice.
Pesticides are used in Europe, sure. But to be able to market a product as organic there are actually pretty extensive regulations

Copper sulfate is a natural pesticide. It’s allowed in organic farming.
It’s also more toxic than most artificial pesticides at its effective concentration. Make sure you rinse your organic produce thoroughly.
“Grown without FDA approved chemicals” is more the case. Organic farms absolutely still use pesticides, just ones not approved.
