She’s a monster, a selfish horrible monster. Who else is going to kill all those little schoolgirls when the US can’t afford to do it anymore, because they’re busy only caring for themselves? It’s like she can only think about herself. Awful. /s

NHS costs about 4600$ per recipient

Spanish healthcare system 5346$ per recipient

    Canada’s is about 5000$

The US PUBLIC healthcare spending (Medicare, medicaid, VA, ACA subsidies) is about 5600$ PER CITIZEN (not recipient).

    IE:

Americans already pay enough in taxes for 100% free comprehensive healthcare for everyone, but get fuck all. The average household pays between 15000$ to 20000$ for healthcare.

The American system is not inefficient, it is an extortion scam that steals trillions from working Americans and kills about 40,000 Americans per yeat.

Wanting the US healthcare system is like wanting a 9/11 every month.

We could give every American 100% free healthcare, without rising taxes. Imagine what would happen to the economy when every household has an extra 15k$ of disposable income?

The White House recently posted that it would cost $35,500 per household per year to enact Medicare for All.

Obviously, that’s total horseshit, but that’s the attitude we are fighting.

You forgot about the IHS (second only to the VA in size), honestly one of the best kept secrets in the US… if all the MAGAts knew their tax dollars were going to give Native Americans universal healthcare there would probably be riots on the streets.

For real though, between all those programs there are already like 40 million people on a universal type healthcare system, I’ve never understood why we can just extend it to everybody.

I bring it up a lot but the book “dying of whiteness” was a horrifying look into this. A significant amount of people don’t want national health care, even if it means they themselves get sick and die, because then those people would get it.

The money facts don’t matter. It’s just emotional sludge.

Which means you were triaged and are not among most critical cases. Wanna know what happens in an American ER when you aren’t visibly in critical condition?

A good part of the reason public health expenditure is so much higher in the US is because public healthcare doesn’t generally cover healthy people. Medicare exclusively covers seniors and disabled people for instance.

If we just expanded coverage to everyone, we’d probably be instantly on par with other public health systems on a cost-per-patient basis.

This and maybe not always using name-brand prescriptions. But maybe that has changed, it has been a while since I was actively living in the US.

Medicare Part D is kind of a cluster fuck. The way the use different PBMs and its your job to create a spreadsheet of all the meds you take, which are covered, and min-max your way to being able to live is absolutely fucking infuriating…

That said, the system absolutely does not push your towards expensive name-brand meds, probably errs on the side of pushing you towards generics, when they are available.

There are other factors on the pharmacy side, including public advertising, so patients demand those name brand drugs, and physician influencing campaigns…

We know it, thanks for the figures though, I will write this down. I don’t want to bother you for a source, but if I cite these figures elsewhere I would need one, and I will, cite these figures if I am able.

Wait till their super project for replacing the workforce is complete. Then you won’t have a say in where to spend money at all.
