I know this is for the 8 pro but man the modem on the 7 pro was such bullsh… All kinds of issues. So bad that even googles support gave in and offered a refund after 1 year.
For a while I was considering the 8 pro, but I think their hardware is not close to par with the others yet and the new price is a joke for a pixel.
Went for something else instead and won’t return to pixel for at least a few years.
Overheating in summer (this is the soc not the modem but still), calls dropping constantly, bad call quality, with dual sim people couldn’t call me even though I had full reception.
I got a replacement unit, created bug reports, changed providers etc…
For me it was a piece of shit at the end of the day, and I’m a pixel fan :D (well was)

I think the modem is the same anyway. At most they may have changed some behaviour with software but it’s still crap.

No issues with my pixel 1 or 3, or the iPhone.
