Was about to say that a Saudi club would pay that but legally speaking it’s probably a bad idea for Toney to head out there

    Todd Boehly: hold my beer

in all seriousness though, wouldn’t be against him, but Chelsea needs to get their shit together in terms of spending, and if we’re gonna drop £100 million on another player, they better be way fucking better than Ivan Toney

    Honestly go Brentford.

Might be a few teams absolutely desperate come January why not push for the max?

On the one hand, English+homegrown status will raise the price, decent strikers are also in demand and he’s still young-ish.

That being said, 100m might be a bit much. He’s probably at his development peak, will have been out of action for 6 months in January and the gambling connections aren’t great for the image of any club.

60-65m are definitely possible, maybe even as high as 70-75 with addons. I can’t see any club outside of the PL paying anywhere close to that given that homegrown status which is a good chunk of that price is irrelevant outside the PL.

Better players out there for less. Overpriced I’m afraid. I like Toney but don’t even think he’s Brentford’s best player

And so they should, considering he has publicly disparaged the club on multiple occasions and got himself banned for being a degenerate gambler with an addiction resulting in a ban while all the while the club have stood by him, supported him and paid him (handsomely) while serving out the ban. Get that bag and let him go and be some other mug’s problem
