It’s everywhere. Talking to a hvac guy at a local university. In thirty years his hourly has gone up $7. The Chancellor’s compensation has gone from just over a quarter to just over a million dollars.

In America, both parties are wolves. Just one bothers, barely, to pretend to be sheep. The other convinces the sheep that wolves are actually good.

One is a wolf and one is a sheep with a tendency to fall for the sheep disguised wolves.

The sheep can be influenced and change its beaviour. The wolf is a wolf.

The sheep disguised one can be changed, yes. It gets it’s power by being more appealing than the other guy. That power can be used to change leadership into a more representative one.

But until it is, it’s still an antagonist. To be clear, I don’t think democrats and republicans are the same. But democrats marching towards the “center” isn’t just bad strategy, it’s leadership’s preferred shift for the Overton window. It’s why they always fight against the left tooth-and-nail, but easily slide to the right to capture the “no one that will vote for them” over there.

I have one vote – excluding any voter suppression/gerrymandering, which means it’s binary. If I had ranked-choice voting, we can have a deeper conversation/candidates. But then, dummies would get angry in their confusion.

Ha oh yeah Trump did it, it’s the “Trump Agenda”.

(this has been the case since the 1970s, it’s the R&D agenda)

  • I think the present situation will give Americans an unhealthy dose of what it is to live under tyranny, and that might whip us into enough of a fervor to actually overhaul the US system.

But if not, it will show the rest of the developed world what they can expect since the owner class can buy out their elections and control their governments, and financialize their budgets until their econonies collapse as well.

As opposed to what? What else will work?

Even if you vote for a “good” republican who promises to negotiate and work with “the other side” their party won’t let them.

The only recourse voters have is a strong one.

le woke waitress would’ve put latinos in concentration camps, sold our national parks out to corpos, continued buikding a wall and would’ve started 3 wars.

        sure she would 🙄

I have no doubt Democorpos would’ve continued locking down the internet, that’s a usual for them, but come on.
