myself and 3 mates will be in London over the NY period this coming December/January.

we want to go watch a premier league game whilst we’re in London and just want to see good football in a stadium with good atmosphere.

the three options we’ve narrowed down to are:

  1. Fulham vs Arsenal
  2. Tottenham vs Bournemouth
  3. West Ham vs Brighton

i’m tempted to get tickets to the London Fulham vs Arsenal derby (even tho they’ll cost twice as much as the tickets for the other 2 games), but wondering what everyone’s thoughts are on what you think is the “best” game to go to (out of these 3 options) for someone’s first time going to a Premier League game?

just fyi myself and my 3 mates don’t support any of the teams playing in these 3 games, so that won’t be an influencing factor in deciding which game we go to

I think getting tickets for Fulham would be difficult if you’re not wanting to go via third party as you’ve said and equally the Spurs stadium pretty much sells out.

I think West Ham is the best bet in all honesty to getting tickets and the game would be decent as well.

West Ham v Brighton should be the most competitive. Spurs v Bournemouth will be a blow out but should at least be entertaining in that sense. Fulham v Arsenal won’t be worth the extra money and isn’t really a derby as there isn’t a rivalry there. As it’s a smaller stadium you’ll probably struggle to get tickets as well or will pay an insane premium

Spurs will have the best atmosphere, game depends how Bournemouth go over next couple of months. Possibly hard to get tickets if Spurs still riding high.

West Ham is likely easiest to get tickets for and Brighton play nice football so likely to be a decent even match with goals, and normally have a decent atmosphere.

Fulham are likely to be outclassed, one sided match and small stadium so difficult to get tickets for.

The cottage is one of the most beautiful stadiums to visit, especially for tourists. We brought Arsenal to a 2-2 draw at the Emirates so it shouldn’t be an absolute wash out but tickets will be hard to come by. Our new stand isn’t fully open yet.

I would suggest Spurs, home ticket. As a neutral the atmosphere will be electric especially if they’re still flying high top of the table and Bournemouth are still in relegation worry.

even as a lifelong Manchester United fan id love to visit Craven Cottage!

whenever there’s a big sports game or concert here in australia that’s gonna sell out quickly, i’m always online to buy the tickets the second/minute they go on sale

if i do the same for the Fulham v Arsenal game, do u think theres at least a half decent chance of me being able to get 4x tickets all together?

i’m guessing this game will sell out really fast as well? i read somewhere that the upcoming game against Man Utd sold out in 2 days or something like that?

i’ve created a OneFulham account, but don’t have a paid club membership or anything, so not sure if this will be an issue when looking to buy tickets?

My shout is for Tottenham v Bournemouth. We’ve got an exciting and fun team to watch, the best stadium in England (speaking on the level of facilities). The matchup may not be the most intriguing, but Tottenham play to entertain, so I expect it’ll be fun regardless.

Fulham vs Arsenal if you want the proper old school traditional experience as Craven Cottage is a lot older and smaller a stadium. West Ham vs Brighton is the most attractive fixture on paper but not a good ground to watch football in.

What date do you arrive? Liverpool Arsenal on the 23rd Dec will be a great one, evening game, two title challengers, only a 2 hour train from London.
