I’ve never seen this phrased quite this way, but it rings true to me. When life gets busy or stressful, it has been much easier for me to stick with organizations like this as opposed to clubs that are strictly recreational or hobby based. That kind-of-work kind-of-socializing organization hits a sweet spot for me. I genuinely enjoy participating, it helps my community, and I feel some level of responsibility to keep up with it.
