Highlights: The White House on Monday issued veto threats against two GOP-led House appropriations bills expected to come up for a vote this week as lawmakers seek to avoid a government shutdown in November.

The House bills would cut Department of Transportation funding by $7 billion compared to fiscal 2023 levels, $1.2 billion from HUD funding compared to 2023 levels, and nearly $4 billion from EPA funding compared to 2023 levels.

In both cases, the White House argued the bills put forward by Republicans in the House undercut an agreement reached by administration officials and GOP lawmakers in May on spending as part of negotiations to raise the debt limit.

Maybe get rid of the fake-ass TSA. Those security-theater police academy rejects serve absolutely no purpose at all and cost us 10 billion a year.

I heard on the radio this morning that… Philadelphia’s airport, I believe, is now allowing passengers to have people wait at the gate with them again. We haven’t seen that in decades, it gives me hope the TSA will one day be a thing of the past.

Honestly, keep paying them, but have their work severly reduced: life mobility program that doesn’t negatively affect people as much. Sunset after like a year or 2 when a lot of the people at TSA can have used that free money to get into other jobs and still not hassle me in my flights
