Sharing a positive interaction I had in the city a few weeks back, inspired by the person questioning if this community is only for news lol.

A few weeks back, I was standing on a street corner collecting signatures for a petition. It was a extremely hot day (32°+, humid), and most people were in a hurry to get away from the sun.

One of the people I bothered with my spiel said that he’s in a hurry and left before I could finish the second sentence. He came back half an hour later (after he had run his errands) with a box of haagen dazs ice creams and handed one to each of us from the group - simply because he felt bad for us being out in the heat.

He chatted with us for a bit while we ate the ice creams, but still didn’t sign the petition though lol.
