He’s ended United’s trophy drought. He cleared deadwood. He’s bringing a change in dressing room attitude (eg - Sancho not being allowed until he apologizes) and honestly, United aren’t playing THAT bad. Yesterday’s 3-0 loss was wayyy better than last year’s 6-3. Also losing 3-0 to City isn’t that shameful considering the form and desperation we are in.

The fans, management and players have to back him and give him time. He’ll bring a change. It takes time, fixing a 10 year long fuck up. Can’t be done in 4-6 months, will need a year or so at least. Have faith

(Ps I’m a City fan)

I’m not gonna be all smart and claim he should (or shouldn’t) be fired, but I don’t think people defend any other manager as much as Ten Hag.

He’s had some quite some time, spent good money on players he wanted, and there’s still not a clear playing style. When you contrast that with Ange or De Zerbi it becomes striking. Also concerning that he won’t or can’t bench players who obviously deserve to be benched.

Would it be better with a new coach? No idea. Maybe even a bigger circus.

I know the average user here mocks United fans for wanting the glazers out so badly, and constantly blaming them. But who else’s fault is it?

But at the start of the transfer window the targets were, Kim Min Jae, Harry Kane and Declan Rice.

We got none of them, and instead signed Johny Evans, Amrabat. Mason Mount for some reason, and overpayed for Rasmus Hojlund.

We played Leciser City’s 2018 center back pairing in a derby, every United fan knew we were doomed. That isn’t Ten Hag’s fault imo, but we aren’t going to get back to the top without new owners.

He opted to sign those players though. No one made him sign mount who has been out of form for 18 months, Hojlund who scored 9 in 32 serie a games last season, amrabat who even Chelsea weren’t interested in when they were in the market for a 2 DMs.

All those are Ten Hag signings and right now they’re a major part of why your season is a shambles so far.

After Brentford beat them 4-0, he made his team run 13kg the very next day. This is apparently very normal for him - he’s an authoritarian, who essentially tries to run his teams like an army squadron.

Now they’re suffering injury crisis after injury crisis. He can’t build a style of play, because his star players are always injured. It’s fairly clear at this point that he doesn’t know how to discipline a team without putting them through high risk, torturous drills that do nothing but risk injury and damage the morale of the players.

    Ultimately, he’s the problem.

Tbf, all the players need to do is underperform a bit and he’ll be gone soon enough.

      No sign of that though…

Man United are just fucked. I don’t think it matters who is the manager because clearly, the running of the club is a shambles. You need a stable platform on which to build success and a proper vision for where you’re going.

FYI – this is his second year. He already had a full year last season. And now we are getting close to mid-season.

A loss at home is terrible regardless of the scoreboard.

The problem is the owners. Which is why so many fans are calling them out.

People who point at ten Haag and thinks it’s his fault are delusional. He did so well last year but since he can’t change everything he want because the owners thinks they know something about football it’s gonna be impossible.

Bruno Fernadez is NOT in form right now as well. He needs to be benched to prove a point to his entire squad. Players playing bad? bench the captain, that will get their attention.
