“Come out and engage in western ideology”
“I HATE MORALISM I HATE MORALISM”
…that’s being an ultra? That’s your average vibes based leftism.
Would there be a better community to post this in?
Half of America didn’t even vote ffs
The American working class are a majority non-voters and in states like Texas over 60% of votes are suppressed or don’t even have the physical ability to vote.
Its literally a dictatorship of the bourgeoisie and therefore bourgeois values are imposed onto the lower class and also the voice of the working class is silenced.
There needs to be a objective materialist basis between the settler-pilled ultras and the reactionary „western working class is just a smol bean hecking baby with no agency“
I vote, I vote PSL
And also the options are deliberately chosen by the ruling class as only those that doesn’t threaten the rule of capital.
"The central point that emerges from our research is that economic elites and organized groups representing business interests have substantial independent impacts on US government policy, while mass-based interest groups and average citizens have little or no independent influence,”
That said, of course there are going to be true believer supporters among the regular populace. But they aren’t the policymakers and with their influence largely being divorced from policymaking, it only really matters insofar as how much reaction there would be to attempting something different and how easy it is to find support among the populace for building an alternative power structure. But if the people are already used to not being in control yet feeling like they have something resembling a democracy, would they really be that upset in high numbers if a different sort of government was forced on them and it actually started doing immediate and helpful policy, with community outreach paths to addressing people’s needs?
People in the US have been primed to reject a vague conceptualization of “authoritarianism”, but I think some of them would fall out of their chairs in pleasant surprise if they got a vanguard style government that is coming to them and being like “how can we help?” Anti-communism always focuses on a warped conception of oppressive power (falsely reframing the intentional repression of the capitalist class as a repression of popular will) and never on the “we’re here to help you, else what is the point of the state” service-based culture that is nurtured in AES states.
I don’t want to exaggerate the agency of the masses under so called liberal democracy, but there’s a reason revolution happens not in the core but in the periphery. To paraphrase brother Malcolm, the house negro has it pretty good compared to that field negro.

Yeah, but saying the slave owner represented the house slave would be at least somewhat insulting

Honestly the part I took most issue with was the UAE, Saudi Arabia, and Nazi Germany parts. Nazi Germany existed for all of 12 years, engaging in slave labor, mass violence, executions, etc. Not to mention there was anti-nazi resistance in nazi Germany. Saudi Arabia and the UAE are also massively repressive, and 89% of the population of the UAE are migrant workers who are somehow complicit in genocide by existing within it [by the logic of the post, which makes no separation between population and citizenry]

Proof that every fed controlled space inevitably descends into the most unproductive place possible.
