Will say those are terrible beliefs to hold. You cant possibly know whats going on inside someones minds. What makes one persons transness more valid than anothers?

Because you are trans yourself, and are clearly working through your own stuff, I’m not going to ban you for merely holding transmed beliefs. You’re welcome to talk about those beliefs and your experience with them in terms of self acceptance, especially in an effort to challenge and dismantle them. Where it becomes an issue is if you express those beliefs in a form that invalidates other trans folk. That’s a single strike ban. No warnings.
what does being transmed mean?
A trans med is someone who believes that all trans people have crippling dysphoria and need or want gender affirming surgeries. They believe that trans people who don’t fall in to those categories aren’t really trans.
It normally comes from having a lifetime of dealing with crippling dysphoria, where gatekeeping of trans identities is normalised. You see a lot of it in 4chan communities, but also in conservative countries that gatekeep who can and can’t access transition care.
Being trans is all about, I mean mostly, dysphoria, HRT and surgeries.
There are social aspects for sure but mostly that.
A medical condition rather than social one.
I’m a walking talking transmed ideal. Knew from the time I was a kid. Binary. Crippling dysphoria. I wanted bottom surgery from the moment I knew it existed and I’ve had nearly every transition related surgery possible.
But I’ve got more in common with non binary folk, and trans folk who don’t want surgeries, and don’t struggle with dysphoria than I will ever have in common with a broader society that teaches us to hate ourselves. Gender diverse folk are my peers, and what we have in common is finding self love, self pride, and giving a middle finger to those who would try and take that away from us.
You would benefit from finding some of that pride in finding and accepting who you are despite surviving in a world that tries to deny you that. The answer isn’t to hate yourself more, and to push hatred on to your peers.
The thing you will see with 4chan spaces and transmed spaces is that all of them carry shame for being trans. Some of them hate themselves openly and others don’t openly hate themselves, but even in a perfect, accepting world, would still want to hide who they are. Both of those are just different degrees of the same thing though. And you weren’t born with that internalised shame. You learned it by growing up surrounded by transphobia. Fight back by finding some love for yourself and who you are, instead of agreeing with the people that taught you self hate in the first place
