    This sub has gotten so predictable that the moment I post or see a comment I know exactly if it will get downvoted or upvoted, and even the people who will reply.

    Quality of discourse has taken a massive hit with all the (relative) success of last year. Write anything that’s not googly eyed and people see it as provocative and controversial.

        this is exactly what I mean. What’s even a “negative” narrative in football ? The players should have been more focused ? I never see this weird instance on “positivity” irl, and even on this sub it only became prevalent last season

      Agree, I tried to post a nuanced, somewhat controversial take in another message and got downvoted 🤷‍♂️

      I think downvoting opinions that you disagree with disincentives diverse discourse and encourages group think.
