    Well… Some people can experience fictional characters “talking back”. Some children experience it with imaginary friends. Some authors with their OCs.

    Some subcultures in the internet (tulpamancy , soulbonding, deamonism…) are all about practicing it purposefully, also with characters that come from fiction.

    I felt this. And after thinking about it in the back of my mind (as in, I didn’t realize I was thinking about it until I saw it again), I wondered: are my expectations for real life realistic?

      Yeah, I’d say so. People are more comfortable these days acting and dressing like fictional characters. I think you can have any expectation ever and someone will meet it.
