Israel says it is cutting off its electricity supply to Gaza. The full effects of that are not immediately clear, but the territory’s desalination plants receive power for producing drinking water.

Sunday’s announcement comes a week after Israel cut off all supplies of goods to the territory to over 2 million people. It has sought to press Hamas to accept an extension of the first phase of their ceasefire. That phase ended last weekend. Israel wants Hamas to release half of the remaining hostages in return for a promise to negotiate a lasting truce.

Hamas has pressed to start negotiations on the ceasefire’s more difficult second phase instead, which would see the release of remaining hostages from Gaza, the withdrawal of Israeli forces and a lasting peace. Hamas is believed to have 24 living hostages and the bodies of 35 others.

If this isn’t a troll may I suggest taking a critical reasoning course or two?

“Someone says something I really don’t like but I can’t argue against, so I’m just going to claim they’re trolling.”

consider for a moment that America is the aggressor in all these situations and have been attacking our sovereignty. we have no other choice than to respond in kind. we didn’t start this fight.

also consider that I’ve respected you every step of the way and you’ve been disrespectful

I’m referring to you calling the other guy a troll just because he “said something you really don’t like but can’t argue against.”

also consider that I’ve respected you every step of the way and you’ve been disrespectful

Telling me reality isn’t reality is very disrespectful. It’s the same thing you did when you told him he’s trolling. Rather than present rational arguments, you say “I’m objectively right because you’re a troll or that’s divorced from reality.”

Come on man, use your words. Don’t be afraid. Or are you just trolling?

no, you’ve assumed i can’t because i refused to argue.

there are times when people arguments are so divorced from the actual facts that it is better not to engage. this was one of those times.

arguing with someone only works when that person is making those points in good faith which this person wasn’t.

they liken two entirely different situations they said points which were categorically untrue and then they tied it up with whataboutism.

so I say again I think they could use a critical reasoning course
