Hello fellow selfhosters,

I am just wondering, are you dealing with encryption for your selfhosted storage solution? I started selhosting MinIO in my homelab and I am thinking about setting up encryption for the buckets but I am not sure if there are some real benefits, except the learning.

I mean, I get it why would you set up, and want, encryption in a service, but when you are selfhosting your storage solution… if someone break into my apartment and steal my minipc server, I would have different problems then unencrypted buckets.

it probably depends on what you store in the bucket but I am just curios about your setup
