I watch a lot of TikTok and noticed they go after them. I know it isn’t my business, but they are my ideal preference, and also I’m not white. Yes, I get that I’m generalizing, but it gets to a certain point where it has some truth to it. Don’t ban me, please; I just want at least advice or anything, tbh. Also, sorry for making a weird question; I don’t mean to offend anyone or bring controversy into race when it comes to dating.

This is a really controversial question you asked, but I’m kinda glad you asked it anyways. It’s good that you challenge your prejudices and your views. I prefer that you ask this question (even if controversial) instead of you going around believing it and having a warped view of reality.

What you are probably experiencing is confirmation bias, and the social media algorithms. Tiktok is doing whatever is necessary to keep you on the platform as long as possible. That’s how they make money, by showing you ads.

    “I watch a lot of TikTok”>

There’s your problem. That’s basically badly written reality tv, meaning it’s all fake performative nonsense.

Yeh don’t get dating advice from social media. It will make you go crazy.

I hear all the time that woman are only looking for men with a 6figure wage and are avid gym goers. IRL Not a single woman I know has a man like that.

Women are also heavily attracted to genuine personalities that treat them like a personality too.

Good luck. Everyone deserves someone to love.

    Going to echo:

    Get off social media.

I’ll add: get introspective, become confident in your skin. Worry less about what you think is happening outside your head, and begin to control the things within.

When you love yourself it won’t hurt if others don’t love you, but I promise, others will.

Social media is so bad for your self-esteem. I hate Instagram for many reasons but one of them is that it used to make me feel really awful about myself because it’s packed to the brim with beautiful people appearing to be very confident and successful.

When you see a million posts of dudes with supermodel girlfriends standing on balconies overlooking stunning beaches on the coasts of Italy or France it starts to give you a real sense of inadequacy. But it’s not always the full story.

The Tiktok algorithm will show you more of what you show interest in, so your viewing will skew to more of these over time.

I know tons of biracial women and their partners are a perfect sample of white, black, Hispanic, Asian, etc etc. People go for who they think is a good partner based on many factors besides looks.

    Don’t believe the interwebs

Dude you are probably overthinking it. I’m BIPOC too and have dated women of every “race.”

Obviously INDIVIDUALS may have their preferences, but in general, just being healthy, clean, confident, and fun to be around is 1000x more important than any racial stuff

Read “Black skin white masks” from Fanon. He talks about this phenomenon and race in general.

Edit: Explaining a little bit about what’s on the book on this.

Basically, on the racist framework of society, black will always be bad, being black as the worst and lowest of the social hierarchy. Being mixed, means almost white, almost there, so a white man is the necessary status to be or feel white, also kids would be whiter. Going with a black man means going back, retrograding into a state of blackness, etc.

I’m not saying this about these women specifically, but at the structural level, what is expected in relation to race.

    Edit 2: wording

Isn’t a larger proportion of the fathers of these women white men? It is pretty understandable.

A successful woman (who evidently has a high viewership on TikTok) likely had a father who ticked all the boxes. He could be a father of any race - I’ve met them all - but I’m assuming statistically due to economics and power (USA/Europe/Australia, etc.) there are quite a few white fathers of biracial women.

A woman making a preference for a type, or the personality (this is also cultural, I won’t say racial) of one of her parents who were her safe haven, nurtured her, and pushed her forward is of course, natural.

I don’t live in the US so I don’t know how it’s over there, but I assume sometimes it’s a bit related to racial kinks (in the bdsm community for example), some other times it just happens, etc. Also, I guess that if your country is predominantly white you’ll end up mostly with white people.

Despite what the great replacers think, America is still mostly white or at least passably white.

Poor homie is probably both lonely and horny. A terrible combination.
