The cognitive dissonance is astounding. Literally people who were angry about us being written off this time last season saying Tottenham won’t make top 4.
They’re unbeaten and 5 points clear. They’re title contenders.
They are definitely top 4 material. They play good football and have good players.
The only reason I do not think they are title contenders is because of their absolutely terrible run of fixtures at the end of the season. They play Newcastle, city, us, and Liverpool in a single stretch. That’s hard even for a good team. And by that time I fully expect other teams would have figured out how to play against them.
Title contenders with paper thin squad and 5 point lead that subject to be reduced to only 2 if the rest of the league plays their allocated fixtures this weekend, yeah sure. I would give this comment more credence if it was at the halfway point of the season.
Let’s see where they are after their next five PL fixtures.

The alternative is to actually believe Tottenham are title contenders and that’s just depressing.
